The medical-legal consultants of NATIONALHI assist your team in many ways.  Due to our close involvement with the case, it is not always appropriate for our consultants to testify on your client's behalf.

Our expert witness location service provides physician, nurse, and other healthcare professionals for your use.  We will save you the time and resources necessary to locate, interview, research, and contract with experts from around the country.

A brief list of our expert location services include:

Locate experts in related specialties
Negotiate contractual agreements with the experts
Arrange travel and accommodations when necessary
Perform literature review of works published by the expert
Serve as go-between to save you time and resources

NATIONALHI maintains an exhaustive database of experts in many healthcare specialties.  At your request, we will identify several candidates that meet your guidelines and budget.  Each consultant is then requested to forward to our office a current curriculum vitae or resume and to identify any conflicts of interest that may exist.  A compilation of successful candidates will be forwarded to your office along with our recommendations and the terms to engage each expert.  Following your selection of one or more experts, we will arrange telephone conferences between your office and the expert for further discussion.

Our fees for locating expert witnesses or expert consultants can be a one-time location fee, hourly rate based on continued involvement of NHI, or as a percentage of the gross payments to the expert.  We are happy to discuss our fee schedules with you at your convenience.

*NHI requires a fully executed AGREEMENT FOR THE RETENTION OF EXPERT be returned to NHI offices with the appropriate retainer deposit prior to proceeding with expert location. An original document specific to your case will be forwarded to your office upon request.
